Vatican chooses Sun systems and software

Sun has been chosen by the Holy See to provide a secure infrastructure to manage its Internet Office activities. The Sun Java Enterprise System along with Sun Fire servers running the Solaris Operating System and connected to a Sun StorEdge array create the foundation of this infrastructure. The new system helps handle the more than 100,000 emails received daily by the Vatican, and will be used in building a new Web portal as well.
