New Sun Hardware: SunPCi III

Sun has released the SunPCi III card. This revision has the mobile AMD XP 1600+ CPU, up to 1G of RAM, on-board AGP 8X graphics, 10/100baseT ethernet, and up to three USB 2.0 and one FireWire (IEEE 1394) ports as well as normal serial and parallel ports. It can run Windows 98, NT, 2000, or XP. Pricing starts at $695.

    Looks interesting, good to have USB as an option, but it doesn’t have support for Ultra 5s? I know one could probably make it work, but I don’t want to spend that kind of money on a “maybe”.

    Looks like has the standard sound jacks from the picture, but they don’t mention them.
