New Sun hardware: V60x, V65x

Posted by Bill Bradford on May 7, 2003

Sun has two new x86-based servers, the V60x and V65x.

Both are based on the Intel Xeon processor. The V60x has dual 2.8Ghz or 3Ghz CPUs, up to 6G RAM, three Ultra320 SCSI disks, and two PCI-X slots in a 1U rackmount enclosure. The V65x has the same specs except that it holds up to 12G RAM, six Ultra320 SCSI disks, and six PCI-X slots in a 2U rackmount enclosure.

UPDATE: As of May 8th, Sun has taken down these links. I guess we weren’t supposed to know about the systems yet.
