Sun[tm] ONE Application Server 7, Standard Edition is J2EE 1.3
compliant and offers a full range of features for developing Java web
services. It is free for development and evaluation. The download will
install as a 60 day license after which time you can use it by
entering the license key which will be emailed to you after the
download. Should you decide to purchase an unlimited license for Sun
ONE Application Server 7, Standard Edition, you can upgrade this
installation. Sun ONE Application Server 7 includes: the Java[tm]
Web Services Developer Pack (including JAXM, JAXR, JAXP, and JAX-RPC);
Web-based management tool and full support for local command line
administration; Multiple Administrative domain support for wholly
separate configurations from single application server install; Sun
ONE Message Queue, Platform edition; and HTTP engine from Sun ONE Web
Server.

SUN’S NEXT-GENERATION DATA CENTER

Three months after first laying out the roadmap for N1, Sun has acquired
two companies, Terraspring and Pirus Networks. By leveraging and
enhancing the virtualization technologies gained through these
acquisitions, Sun is executing on its vision for next-generation data
centers.
