I got to use a ZX in a SS10 for awhile back in the 90s.  That was a
delightful time to me.  It was being used with Sense8 WorldToolkit for
3D rendering.  I presume it could have been programmed by PHIGS, but I
wasn't aware of that and didn't have handy manuals for it.

Next to it was an IPX with a SunPC card for running 3D Studio (I think
r4, the last DOS version).

A year or two later, getting to write real OpenGL code on an Onyx RE2
was a real treat as well.

Found years after I no longer had ZX access, I found this paper on it to
be an interesting read:
https://www.michaelfrankdeering.com/Projects/HardWare/Leo/SigLeo.pdf

Interestingly, it mentioned doing texture mapping being done on the
card, which I never saw in use, and when I had access to it, I was under
the impression it wasn't possible.

It seems like it would be a bit of waste to use in a setup that wouldn't
be making use of the 3D, but I suppose the only other reasonable 24bit
alternative would be upgrading to a SS20 with SX (CG14) graphics.

Please keep that baby cool.
