Thanks - thats good to know. RPi uses Debian 1.6 which talks about NFS v2, and I tried the usual options including disabling v3 and v4, but the nfs server stubbornly ignored the requests. I suspect I would need to rebuild the kernel with appropriate options, but just being lazy on that :)
