   They're not that difficult to work on.  I was Canon-trained in 
maintenance of CX and SX engines many years ago.  They're pretty easy to 
work on, but messy.  Be aware that most of those screws are JIS, not 
"Philips".

   If you remember that old song about the car factory worker who took 
home a car one piece at a time...I did that with a Canon LBP8-A2, which 
is a CX-based printer. :)
