   I am shocked and deeply saddened to hear this.  Jon had been a good 
friend for many years.  I'm pretty sure I met him here on this list, it 
had to have been in the 1990s.

   He and I helped each other out with many things over the years, and 
he had been helpful and supportive of LSSM since day one.

   This sucks.  The good guys go early, but the dicks seem to live forever.

   RIP Jon Katz.
