> This is difficult to share, but necessary. I’ll explain as clearly as

> I tried to remember but I know I left some of you out and for that I

> As a very small few of you may already know, Jon unexpectedly passed
> away last Tuesday morning (16th December). The official cause of
> death, per the coroner, is bronchopneumonia and sleep apnea leading to
> cardiac arrest. Because of his age, a post-mortem/autopsy was required
> to determine the cause.
> To say that we are in shock, dazed, and struggling to process this
> would be an understatement.
> In terms of immediate plans, we will be privately remembering Jon when
> his family arrives later this week, and once again when he has been
> released from the coroner and transferred to a funeral director. This
> process is moving quite slowly due to the Christmas holiday.
> For those local to the UK, we (the kids and I) do plan to hold a
> memorial / “Irish wake" to meet up, remember Jon, and enjoy as he
> would've wanted, likely later in January or early February, once the
> holidays have passed and we’ve had time to gather ourselves. I will
> share details—location, date, and time— once the three of us have had
> time to sort ourselves out and come up with a place and plan.
> We also plan to hold a memorial in Indy sometime in early spring. I
> will update everyone who is interested in attending once we’ve sorted
> out the timing and details.
> The kids (and I) are hanging in there, just, but we have a long road
> ahead of us, so I thank you all for your patience, understanding,
> discretion, and kindness during this incredibly difficult time.

> Jon was a great guy that I've known since the 90s.  We stayed in touch
> even when he moved to another continent.   Sun guy in and out.
