Late to the conversation - you're trying to go from 13w3 to VGA to HDMI?

A decent quality 13w3 to VGA should yield something suitable for VGA, and
anything suitable for VGA should map to HDMI... in theory.

The VGA to HDMI should have active electronics - might be cheaper/easier to
just get a VGA compatible monitor, I think your resolution is going to be
shite.
