[rescue] cd-rom rot

Yes, I've seen the same happen with pressed CDs - in particular, the 1992 and 1993 Catalyst CDware discs from Sun. They "decomposed" exactly like this within 5 years. On the other hand, my late-90's SunSolve CDs look OK.
