That's odd. While I haven't looked recently, every time I have looked
the 4M ones have been relatively available and the 8M ones are
expen$ive. I'm surprised they've dried up that much.

Depending on what you want to use your framebuffer for, yes, that might
be a good plan.

Not that I'm aware of. I suspect it would take someone with a logic
analyzer attacking the I/O of a card in live use to get anywhere, and
even that would likely be difficult. It also would probably have
fairly little commercial value, making it difficult to fund any parts
that call for funding.

I'm not actually sure it includes the log image; that could be in the
machine's main ROM, just used only when a cg14 is found. I'd have to
dump the main ROM to be sure.
