sparc is a very old port, so it should be well-supported (and if it
isn't these days then it should be well-supported if you drop back to
an old version). NetBSD is what I run on all my SPARCs (indeed, all my
own machines).

That was my thought on seeing that description too: this sounds as
though it's failing while still doing the POST selftest.
