Yeah, you don't have enough physical ram open for the OS to move what's 
in swap to it.

Change your vfstab and reboot. it'll come back up using the two 
separate partitions that were once the d1 mirror. You can then at that 
point use the metaclear utility to remove the mirror configuration just 
to keep things clean.

This problem doesn't have anything to do with breaking your mirror as 
another user pointed out.
