Solaris Ressource Manager can do ressource (CPU, memory) provisionning since
Solaris 2.6.
Afaik, it has been integrated in the standard kernel since Solaris 9.
Have a look at http://www.sun.com/software/solaris/9/fcc/fcc.html.

I don't think Solaris 9 can do this but Solaris 10 can :-)

certain amount of CPU and memory. For example, if I have 4 CPUs and 500Meg
of RAM, I want to configure the processes to use only 2 CPUs and half of
500Meg of RAM.
