[rescue] Spotted at VCFSW today

I don't know. I grabbed his card, but I don't have it with me - but he claims to have a 6,000 sq ft warehouse full of such 'treasures'. He apparently dragged all that stuff from New Mexico to Texas for this event.

As for the 'upgraded' lunchboxes, I have no idea - I only knew about weitek CPU upgrades for IPCs (I think, it's been a while).

But they don't show a back panel. Here is a pic of an IPX back, I think they'd look the same, since the connectors poke thru the same openings in the case - www.obsolyte.com/sunPICS/ipx/sparc_ipx.jpg. 

The only way to tell them apart is to crack them open, looking for 72 pin nemory sockets instead of the IPC/IPX 30 pin sockets.
