Sometimes it's better with large/heavy items to crate them - ie use a wooden case. These tend to absorb damage if dropped, etc and can be a fairly tight fit.

I worry the SS1000 falls into a bit of a donut hole between UPS and freight - it needs to be packed rather well to survive UPS, but is small enough that I worry it may get trashed if trying to use a mover or freight shipper and too small to make these services worth it. I'm going to try and see if I can find a service that will go to Mike's house and grab both machines and then UPS.

They try to line up pickup and drop offs along major routes. We shipped our son's bedroom furniture that way. IDK the size of the SS1000 cabinet. Is it something UPS or FEDEX can deal with?
