There are really two independent markets for an item like this: the commercial replacement market and the collector/hobbyist market.

In the commercial replacement market the value is based on the value of the equipment or process that requires that one very particular piece of equipment to keep a revenue-generating business operating. Prices in that market can be astronomical, almost unbelievable.

In the hobbyist/collector market, the value is based on rarity, condition, and completeness. In this market the buyer typically has an interest, but not the absolute need for that one very particular piece of equipment. In this market, it's really a function of the buyers you can get your item in front of - a Vintage Computer group will be more receptive than a local computer show flea market, because the value is really determined by what number the buyer and seller agree to.

Well that doesn't answer your question, does it?

How about this - unless you can crack into the commercial/replacement market, all you've got is the hobbyist/collector market, and in that market, I think your upper limit on price (meaning a price you might find someone actually willing to pay) may be something under $200, perhaps close to $100.

Why so low? It is an impractical machine, is uses a lot of power for very little computational value, it does not support any modern OS (I know, I know, there may be some obscure branch/fork on a *BSD or Linux distro that still supports this machine), it requires either a 13w3 monitor or a 13w3 to something adapter to get the benefit of that 4 Meg VSIMM and so on...

As a practical matter, it makes no sense. As an emotional item, I could see someone paying up to $150-200.

The clock battery is an easy fix, but when you need/want to replace 30+ year-old SCSI devices, it's gonna get expensive.
