[rescue] HPPA (c3700) + FX4 1600x1200 ?

Sorry for posting HP content here but I figure there’s enough overlap someone might have some info.

I’m messing around with my C3700, and I have an FX4 graphics card in there.  The specs say that the FX4 will do 1600x1200.

I am (now) using an HP LP2065 monitor which also supports 1600x1200.  Previously I had a generic Dell 4:3 monitor connected via EVC-VGA dongle.  I now have a “native” EVC-DVI cable - and therefore should be digital ?

In any case, with the new monitor and cable - in the boot console (IDK what HP calls this - I’m still an HPPA noob…) - I do:

CO(nfiguration)
MO(nitor) LIST

And the best I get is 1280x1024.  There is a type 5 option that is user defined, but I have no idea what that really means.  I tried it once and I just got black screen.

Any idea what the trick might be to get this setup into 1600x1200 ?
