Good luck with your search. Beware that as you look for something
better than a Blade 150, shipping is gonna be expensive - everything
better is also bigger and heavier than a 150...
Maybe try to be on the lookout for a cheap T1000? They are not fast,
but they have plenty of cores/threads and if you can scrounge enough
memory, they can be a pretty decent build machine. Assuming it can run
whichever variant of Solaris you're interested in (probably, as they
are newer than the 150).
Faster than the T1000 but still 1U you have the T5120 and T5140, and I
don't think there was a later 1U SPARC. Actually, a quick look at ebay
suggests the T5120 might be easier to find and cheaper than the T1000
- and they are better in every way (except noise, you don't want any
of those anywhere near you).
