What software did you use for Schematics / PCB ? How many layers are needed ?

That's fortunate; 5V-compatible devices are slowly disappearing.
Xilinx has cancelled their last 5V-compatible (but 3.3V natively) CPLD
family some months ago, and newer manufacturers sometimes are
2.5V-only, not even 3.3V :-(
