Ah, yes. Been there, done that. Revised an Apple LaserWriter not too many years ago. Used leftover silicon based spare parts from other printers, cutting and rasping them until fit. Not a precise science. Doable but a lot of work.

Next challenge: No fresh toner cartridges being made. No fresh wipers for the fuser assembly.

Currently facing a new issue that the printer will only occasionally show up on LocalTalk, its page counter being reset to zero. The publicly available schematics aren't showing where the page count, NBP name and zone for the AppleTalk configuration is stored. Anyone has a clue?
