Thank you very much for the update.

Yes...if that's true for you. I'm glad to hear it is. There are
people to whom a bunch of old computers _is_ worth the risk, because
they provide a substantial quality-of-life improvement. (I used to be
one. To a some extent - though much less than formerly - I still am.)

Good. I am never comfortable hearing about someone who's getting rid
of a whole collection, especially because they usually end, as yours
did, with some form of "if not claimed by $DATE they're going to the
skip/landfill/shredder/etc". I'm most glad to hear that yours are all
going to good homes of one sort or another.

Heh. I'm slightly surprised, though that is probably my own bias; I
find the Suns and VAXen more attractive than the SGIs.

As I said, I'm on the wrong continent for this. I'm also trying to
declutter/dehoard my own stuff, so acquiring more is strongly
counterindicated. But the things that I coveted most from your list
were the logic analyzer and the storage 'scope. (I'd like some of the
the Suns and VAXen, to be sure, if I had unlimited space to put them in
and money to take care of them with. I have neither. And, while I'm
not sure I could take even the logic analyzer or 'scope even if they
were geographically close, they attract me more than the computers.)

But I now do not feel the biting "oh, I really wish..." I did when I
first read your post; I am far more at peace knowing, as I said, that
everything will go to a good home.

Thus, thank you.
