There always is.  (It usually doesn't even require a soldering iron. :-)

In this case, it appears a whole lot of the useful functionality is
locked away behind the Web interface (compare chapter 5 with chapter
4).  I'm not sure whether I'm just going to dump it or whether I'll
have a stab at replacing the firmware with my own code.
