Somewhere there's a history of VM (IBM SHARE?) that's quite
fascinating. It seems that the corporate types were eager to kill it
off (presumably because they wanted to sell more mainframes); it may
well have been the 370 developers that saved it - VM allowed them to
'disguise' a 360 as a 370. And they had one each.
