Just FWIW, from memory, the LC series won't complete POST or boot if
the motherboard battery is flat. If the battery hasn't leaked or
exploded, or if you removed it, those are a very desirable little
machine nowadays, and if you put a 1/2 AA battery in it:

... and check if it at least tries to boot, then you can probably get
worthwhile money for it. I'd say ballpark CA$ 300-600.

Whether that's worth a $5 battery is of course your call. ;-)
