[rescue] Memory upgrade in Dell PowerEdge 2560

I re-installed the original 1gb stick of PC2100 and modprobe eeprom 
doesn't crash, and decode-dimms gives me results.  Although, that memory 
also gives errors when tested with memtest86+..... in use it seems to be 
fine.

The modeprobe eeprom freezing the machine with the 2gb pc2700 makes me 
think it's a timing/speed issue like has been mentioned.  Does that 
sound logical, even though the 2gb stick boots and runs Centos 
apparently ok?
