FWIW, I shared the CDE announcement on a couple of other Solaris/Sun
based mailing list (giving credit where it was due).

I received response back in various levels of enthusiasm.  This was
included in one of the responses (below) from James Carlson, formerly of
Sun.

I am also a big OpenLook fan.  Very lightweight, very fast and good looking.
