I haven't seen anything other than that, but it took me a few hours to get
running. It's really not that foreign once you understand the basic concepts
of how it works, and once you (I) stop trying to treat it like it's ordinary
I was sitting down to spend another entire afternoon patching new releases
of Postfix and Dovecot for Solaris 10, and getting SmartOS running took a lot
less time than that. Migrating to it was a days-long effort, but that's a
different matter that is more specific to my installation than anything else,
and mostly involved adjusting configs for different paths and newer software
releases, and, of course, testing.
I'd be surprised if someone with your level of experience took more than
3-4hrs to get a handle on it, starting from scratch.
