I'm definitely going to try it out--their packages for Subversion,
MySQL, and a lot of others are much more up-to-date than SunFreeware,
plus they have things like the SWIG bindings pre-compiled. The
pkg-get tool automatically checks dependencies, too.
Since the majority of the files will wind up in /opt/csw (unless it's
a server type package), it looks fairly straightforward to a) easily
migrate off of SunFreeware or b) allow the two to co-exist.
Thanks for the impetus to go check it out Mike. I'd heard of
blastwave before but had not bothered to go read up on it.
