I use a narrow SCSI version of the SCSIDE device just fine on one of

Host: scsi0 Channel: 00 Id: 00 Lun: 00
  Vendor: PIONEER Model: DVD-RW DVR-106D Rev: 1.07
Type: CD-ROM ANSI SCSI revision: 02

Surprisingly, the drive's more reliable on the SCSI bus than when it
was on IDE, despite me not using goats and black candles.

A 300GB "SCSI" disk would be rather handy.

I never think of the future. It comes soon enough.
