Probably the easy way, but I would :-
$ dd if=/dev/sr0 of=sunos5.10-sparc.img bs=1024k
$ /usr/local/bin/poke sunos5.10-sparc.img position \
poke is something I've just knocked up to delude myself I still know C.
I dare say there's plenty wrong with it. You can get it at present at
http://blackhairy.demon.co.uk/src/file.c (but I'm moving so it may
disappear from the 25th)
