[rescue] analog routers...

Sun made the SPC/S (Serial/Parallel Controller) and the 
HSI/S (High Speed Serial Interface).  Others also made
various cards.

Problem with either of those is I believe they both need
breakout boxes.... and that is usually what is hard to find
(that and the special cable).
