What an excellent camera!  I use mine for everything, and it's  
probably the best camera purchase I ever made.

That model is one of the earliest DSLRs thats very friendly for  
astrophotography.  Removal of the IR filter is well documented.  When  
I finally do get a newer camera body, my 300D is getting dedicated to  
astro work.
