You may have seen that stated somewhere.  Have you tested it?

I have.

I spent the second half of 2002 in Norway (working for Universitetet i
Tromsx).  Nothing in my experience made me think the government cared,
or even knew, what my religion was, much less that they would prefer or
shun me based on it.
