I can understand why people say this, but personally, i find it easier 
to keep track of things when i use credit. 
I regularly (at least once a week) check my transactions online, and use 
mint.com to give reporting on what i spend money on.  It would require a 
lot of manual work to keep track of it if i used cash checks, and i 
would never keep up with it.
