Must not be in Jersey.  They get their own car, cell phone, other perks.
Why?  Because no one wants to do that job.  The stupor-intendent in
my district got blasted in the papers and TV because he went on a
"workshop" in England, spent an extra day ($500/night hotel room),
had two racks of ribs for dinner ($100 a piece) and two bowls of
aspargas soup ($25/bowl) and we are usually out of paper towels
in the bathrooms in the schools.
