I have a stereo adapter for my cellphone (Kyocera 7135 PalmOS) that 
allows me to use my full-size sealed cans as the headphones, and has a 
built-in microphone with send button.

My sealed cans (Sennheiser HD280) have better noise reduction than 
noise-cancelling phones.
