Well, since I heard the story in class in 1971, I think that trumps
the 1990's stories.  And if the story I heard WAS true, in 20 years
embellishments would be added by each teller to make the story better.
I guess even language and stories evolve and mutate, :)  assuming
the story I heard was either the original or closer to the original
tale.
