Becuse it is making fun of a deeply troubled (and talented) person who (apparently) took his own life due to depression...

but, in the spirit of full-disclosure, I did laugh at most of the references...

I'm reminded of Chuckles the Clown, from the old Mary Tyler Moore show... ;^)
