It's expensive new, so you might want to find it used.  It's fairly
microcomputer-oriented, though.  As a side benefit, if you read the
whole thing and pay attention, you'll learn MIPS R3000 assembly
language. :)

I can't recommend anything with mainframe-class explanations.  I'd like
to find something like that myself.
