I have not had any problems either after I did it but I noticed some
things happening. It would loose the signal from now and then. Your AP
might be performing just like it should but take a look at this:
That's what I call a dirty signal. Linksys themselfe have also released
something regarding the signal hack and told people not to use it.
I'm using a nice external antenna on my AP now and that gave me
a nice signal boost and the signal still is clean.
On the WAP11 I am using a 5.5dbi maxrad panel antenna with the proper
cable to the antenna-out on the WAP11. (Found the antenna plus
cable in a dumpster.)
I'm not trying to tell you what not to do, just telling you why I
the signal boost hack. (I had it on for like 2 weeks or so)
