Things like: CPU type & speed, bus type, >peripheral support, memory, graphics etc are all considered useful. "Roadrunner" was the project name for the Sun386i (there you have the CPU type). There were two models, the 150 and the 250. I believe the difference was not clock speed, but the cache: the 150 had none. The machine has an ISA (i.e. IBM AT-type) bus. Standard peripherals are diskette (1.44MBytes) and disk (90 or 327 MByte). It used standard SIMMs, but it might need page mode SIMs or suchlike. There were framebuffers for B&W and color, later even a 34010-based accelerated framebuffer. The last SunOS release for the Roadrunner was 4.0.2 (there was never a 4.0.2 for the other Sun machines). Hence no international character set. I had a Roadrunner when I was working for Sun Germany. It was quite nice, but I was left behind on software. I used to call the machine a "Toadrunner". If you have more questions, just send me mail. For now, I'd like to close with a stock exchange-type recommendation: Don't buy.
