However, we don't know exactly what files from the 386i distribution have to go on the sun3 and which of those would be ones which will run only on a 386i. Compounding our problem is that we will be trying to run this system with both /, /usr and /files on the same filesystem - can you say "non-standard"? I looked in /tftpboot on an existing disk-full 386i and found "boot.S386" (presumably what is downloaded into the 386 for booting) and "pnp.S386" (haven't got a clue!) The latter was executable - is it supposed to run on the 386 being booted or on the server? The sun3 is running SunOS 4.0.3 and the 386i we hope to have running SunOS 4.0.1; has anybody done anything like this before?
